Where do the listings and lots come from
We work with two databases. The first is live listings from the Ukrainian used market: over 250,000 entries, refreshed daily. The second is live lots from the US salvage auctions Copart and IAAI: over 450,000 entries with photographs, damage descriptions and sale dates. Both are searched at once, so you see cars ready to buy in Ukraine alongside cars worth importing from the States.
How long does sourcing take
The shortlist takes up to 48 hours after we confirm your request. Inspections are scheduled within 1–3 days depending on the region and how quickly the seller can show the car. The report arrives on the day of the inspection, or the next morning if the public registers need extra checks.
What does the on-site inspection cover
An engineer comes to the car with a paint gauge and diagnostic equipment. We measure paint thickness at 18 points, check body geometry and traces of repair, read live and stored fault codes over OBD-II, assess the remaining life of the brakes and suspension, and take 24 photographs with each defect captioned. For hybrids we also check battery capacity.
What does the report look like and what do I do with it
The report is a PDF in six sections: annotated photographs, a paint thickness table, engine diagnostics, VIN and mileage history, legal status, and a closing recommendation with a target price for the deal. It works as an argument in negotiation: the conclusion states plainly what it would cost to put the found defects right. See a sample report.
What if the car turns out to be wrong
A “do not buy” verdict is a result too: you did not spend money on a bad car. On the “Sourcing + inspection” plan we inspect the next car from the same shortlist at a discount. If the whole shortlist misses, we go through the criteria with you again and build a new one.
Can I buy a car from a US auction
Yes, on the custom plan. We bid at Copart and IAAI on your behalf within an agreed ceiling, arrange delivery to the port, sea freight, customs clearance and registration. The specification and the bid ceiling are fixed before bidding starts.
Why do US lots show only the bid
The auction bid is the only figure that can be stated exactly at the moment of searching. The final price depends on the sale date, auction fees, the exchange rate, freight rates and the extent of repairs. We prepare a landed-cost calculation separately for the specific lot once you pick it.
What do the services cost
The basic plan is $150 per car: sourcing to your criteria and a shortlist. “Sourcing + inspection” is $300 per car and adds the site visit and the PDF report. Custom pricing is calculated against an agreed specification. Payment comes after a manager confirms the request.
How does payment work and can I get a refund
You can pay by card, bank transfer, or from your account balance. If work has not started, we refund in full within 5 banking days. If sourcing is done but the inspection did not happen through our fault, we refund the inspection portion. Refund terms.
Which regions do you travel to for inspections
Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv and anywhere within 100 km of those cities, at no extra charge. Other regions are by arrangement; travel costs are calculated separately and agreed before work begins.
Do you check the car’s legal status
Yes, it is a separate section of the report. We check that registration is valid, look for liens and encumbrances, check whether the car is reported stolen or under seizure, count previous owners and confirm the VIN matches the documents. The data comes from public state registers as of the inspection date.
Can I have a car I found myself inspected
Yes. Send us the listing link or the lot number and we will arrange a time with the seller and go out to inspect it. Sourcing is not needed in that case, so scope and price are calculated for what it is: an inspection of one specific car.
Are reports kept in my account
Yes. Every report, request and payment stays in your account with no time limit for as long as the account exists. Reports can be downloaded as PDF or forwarded to a seller or a mechanic for a repair estimate.
